Emotions Class at My Play Place
We are teaming up with an amazing business in Arizona to provide a 6-week parent-child course on Embracing Our Emotions. In this 6-week course we will be talking about our feelings of sadness, anger, fear/worry, envy, and joy through sensory play and crafts to help children process these feelings as well as learn healthy ways of expressing and managing these feelings with caregiver support. Classes will be 45 minutes and include guided instruction from a tenured marriage and family therapist on the activity and engaging the children in identifying and understanding emotions. Parents will be expected to engage with their children in this hands-on activity and support children in their engagement. The children will take home their crafts and supplies needed to continue developing this skill at home. The therapist will also provide each parent with a handout on how to continue supporting their child in understanding, expressing, and coping with these emotions at home.

Social Skills Class at My Play Place
After our Embracing Our Emotions class ends on 8/6 we will be starting a new series focused on building social skills in small peer groups through story telling and activities throughout the beautiful indoor playground in real-life scenarios. The date and time of these classes will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
